Advanced OTDR Trace Analysis

This course covers the basics of optical fibre theory OTDR measurements, followed by OTDR parameters and setup options, trace analysis and advanced measurement analysis. The course includes detailed trace analysis exercises which can be carried out using just a windows PC, downloadable OTDR emulation software and the traces supplied as course material.

The theory material can be completed online as self-paced study. In addition, the course has an option for attending two scheduled remote classroom sessions with an experienced OTDR trainer.

At the end of the course. an online test can be completed. If required, this can be validated during the final remote classroom sessions.

N.B. A basic understanding of optical fibres is expected for this advanced course
